The science behind Exoblanc Oil
What is a reverse micelle?
A reverse micelle is an oil-outside, water-inside droplet. Exoblanc Oil wraps each active ingredient in BIOLIPID — a functional lipid made by fermenting and recombining oil — so the carrier matches the skin's own oil-based barrier and passes through it.

Active Material
BIOLIPID
Functional lipid created by oil fermentation (bio-conversion process) which decomposes and recombines oil.

The science behind Exoblanc Oil
Reverse micelle vs liposome: why oil-soluble delivery goes further
Liposomes are water-soluble; Exoblanc Oil's reverse micelles are oil-soluble. Because the epidermis is itself oil-based, the oil-soluble carrier passes through it more readily — at roughly 10 nm against a liposome's 100 nm, and at a 100% encapsulation rate against 10–15%.

The oil is oil-soluble. Because the skin's outer layer is also oil-based, it can easily absorb and pass through. Liposomes are water-soluble and have a harder time passing through the oil-based skin barrier.

When Exoblanc Oil reaches the dermis, it transforms from hydrophobic to hydrophilic, releasing active ingredients deep into the skin.
How reverse micelles form without high pressure
Unlike traditional high-pressure methods, it uses a self-assembly process to naturally form stable reverse micelles without external force.
When active ingredients are combined with our BIOLIPID HBG, reverse micelles form spontaneously — encapsulating the ingredients for effective skin delivery.
Stable W/O/W delivery (water / oil / water)
Why W/O/W structure keeps actives stable
Traditional liposomes can break down in emulsions because the hydrophilic part of the emulsifier disrupts their structure.
But it uses advanced Reverse Micelle Technology, where the active ingredients are first solubilized in the oil phase, then gently wrapped in a stable micelle formed by the emulsifier.
This unique structure prevents direct contact between the emulsifier and the active core — keeping the formula stable and the ingredients potent.

Proven deep skin penetration with Exoblanc Oil VITA
How much deeper does it penetrate? Strat-M test results
Test summary
Method: Franz Cell Diffusion System · Time: 5 hours

To measure skin absorption, we used a skin model (Strat-M membrane) and tested how well the active ingredient (vitamin C) penetrates over time.
Compared to the control group (vitamin C at the same concentration), VITA showed significantly higher absorption rates, proving its ability to deliver active ingredients deep into the skin.
Dermatologist-tested for skin safety
Tested by Korea Dermatology Research Institute Co., Ltd. and evaluated according to ICDRG and CPCP guidelines, Exoblanc Oil VITA showed no signs of irritation — confirming its gentle, skin-friendly formulation.
Grading follows the International Contact Dermatitis Research Group patch-test classification.
Test result
VITA absorbed 10× better than the control group.
Encapsulating 0.5% vitamin C
Higher skin penetration compared to the control, ascorbic acid 5,000 ppm.
In-vitro Franz cell diffusion study on a Strat-M® membrane over 5 hours. Laboratory skin-model result; individual results vary.
Which Exoblanc Oil for which concern
All three share the same reverse micelle delivery system and the same 30 mL format; they differ in the active they carry.

Frequently asked questions
What is Exoblanc Oil?
Exoblanc Oil is a 30 mL Korean facial oil that uses reverse micelle delivery to carry active ingredients through the skin's oil-based barrier. It comes in three variants: CERA with Ceramide NP, VITA with ascorbic acid, and CURE with Totarol.
What is a reverse micelle, and how is it different from a liposome?
A reverse micelle is an oil-outside, water-inside droplet, so its outer surface is oil-soluble. A liposome is the reverse: water-soluble on the outside. Because the epidermis is itself oil-based, the oil-soluble reverse micelle passes through it more readily. Its reverse micelles measure about 10 nm at a 100% encapsulation rate, against roughly 100 nm and a 10-15% encapsulation rate for a typical liposome.
What is BIOLIPID?
BIOLIPID is a functional lipid created by oil fermentation, a bio-conversion process that decomposes and recombines oil. Here it forms the shell of the reverse micelle that encapsulates the active ingredient.
How is Exoblanc Oil manufactured without high pressure?
When active ingredients are combined with BIOLIPID HBG, reverse micelles form spontaneously through self-assembly. Liposomes typically require a high-pressure process; this structure forms without external force.
What does W/O/W delivery mean?
W/O/W stands for water-in-oil-in-water. The active ingredient is first solubilised in the oil phase, then wrapped in a stable micelle formed by the emulsifier. This prevents direct contact between the emulsifier and the active core, which is what destabilises conventional liposomes in an emulsion.
What do the penetration test results show?
In an in-vitro Franz cell diffusion study run over 5 hours on a Strat-M membrane, Exoblanc Oil VITA encapsulating 0.5% vitamin C showed approximately 10 times the absorption of a control group of 0.5% ascorbic acid at the same concentration. These are laboratory skin-model results; individual results vary.
Has Exoblanc Oil been dermatologist tested?
Exoblanc Oil VITA was tested by Korea Dermatology Research Institute Co., Ltd. and evaluated according to ICDRG and CPCP guidelines, showing no signs of irritation.
Which Exoblanc Oil should I choose?
Choose CERA for dryness, tightness or a compromised barrier; VITA for dark spots, uneven tone and dullness; and CURE for blemish-prone, congested or oily skin. All three share the same delivery system and 30 mL format.
How do you use Exoblanc Oil?
After cleansing, apply a small amount to clean, dry skin and massage gently until fully absorbed. Avoid using around the eyes.
Is Exoblanc Oil suitable for all skin types?
Yes. The oil is formulated for all skin types, in a stable, non-irritating oil base.
